Facilitating healing, self-empowerment and personal freedom
through honouring your body’s innate wisdom
and inspiring transformation that reflects your true nature
Tricia Ang | BA Psych, MSocSci Counselling, MAT | PACFA, EMDRAA
Hello, my name is Tricia, I am a registered clinical counsellor, art therapist, somatic/body-oriented psychotherapist, supervisor and well-being coach.

Since 2010, I have supported numerous individuals to navigate life’s challenges, recover from the impacts of trauma and reconnect with their innate capacity for healing and growth. My work gently guides the unwinding of unconscious patterns, with a focus on releasing what holds us back, reconnecting with our authentic selves, and cultivating a life that feels rich, meaningful, and fulfilling.
Through my personal and professional journey, I have developed a deep appreciation for the interconnected nature of our mental, emotional, physical, and energetic experiences, and for the ways our relationships and environments shape and influence our wellbeing.

This understanding has led to my commitment to a holistic approach that supports the body’s wisdom to return to balance and harmony, to facilitate healing and transformation that deepen our natural experience of aliveness, freedom, joy, connection and purpose.
I work from a humanistic and integrative framework, grounded in client-centred, trauma-responsive, strengths-based, and culturally sensitive practice. I aim to offer a safe and supportive therapeutic container where individuals can explore their challenges, deepen connection with different aspects of themselves, and move toward a fuller sense of wholeness.
My therapeutic style is respectful, compassionate, collaborative and intuitive. I honour each client’s unique experience and inherent healing intelligence by supporting them to attune to their nervous system, and allowing regulation to unfold at its own pace. I invite mindfulness and curiosity with an emphasis on cultivating present-moment awareness of cognitive, emotional and somatic/body-based experience. Clients are supported to develop practical skills that expand inner capacity and strengthen external resources, fostering greater agency and self-empowerment.

Experience & Focus Areas
I bring over 15 years of clinical experience working with adults, adolescents and children across a range of settings, including inpatient and outpatient mental health services (Royal Melbourne Hospital, St Vincent's Hospital, Institute of Mental Health), sexual assault recovery service (Gatehouse Centre at Royal Children's Hospital), schools, and private practice. I have worked with individuals from many walks of life, including victim-survivors of abuse and violence, first responders, healthcare professionals, therapists and healing practitioners, educators, people in leadership and corporate roles, retirees, members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and people from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds.
With over 20 years of professional training and personal development experience, my therapeutic practice integrates somatic/body-oriented, creative/expressive, and other holistic approaches. My work is informed by contemporary understandings of neuroscience, trauma, and attachment theory, alongside practices rooted in ancient wisdom traditions that are increasingly validated by emerging scientific research. Modalities I draw upon include humanistic therapies, creative arts and expressive therapies, parts work, and trauma resolution approaches such as Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR), Havening Techniques, Tension & Trauma Release Exercises (TRE), and the MAP Method.

My work is often well-suited to individuals seeking a holistic, gentle, and deeply transformative approach, particularly those who have engaged in therapy previously yet continue to feel stuck or disconnected from lasting change. I work with individuals healing from a range of traumatic experiences, including PTSD, complex and developmental trauma, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, neglect, early attachment disruptions, shocking or overwhelming events, and vicarious trauma. I also support individuals navigating challenges such as overwhelm and burnout, compassion fatigue, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, dissociation, relational difficulties, difficulty setting boundaries, low self-esteem, body image concerns, disordered eating, identity exploration, life transitions, grief and loss, and a sense of disconnection from purpose. In addition, I offer support for psychedelic preparation and integration.

Supervision and Coaching
I provide supervision with a focus on supporting fellow therapists and helping professionals to prevent or recover from compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma or burnout. This is offered through trauma-informed supervision and reflective practice, creating a space for guidance, support, and professional growth.
As an extension of my clinical work, I offer individual coaching and group wellness programs for women who wish to release limiting beliefs and patterns, strengthen their mind-body-spirit connection, and consciously create a life that feels authentic, vibrant, and fulfilling.
Sessions are available online via Zoom, as well as in-person in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia. You are warmly welcome to reach out, I would be honoured to support you on your journey toward healing, growth, and wellbeing.
